— Vancouver, B.C.-based landing page builder Unbounce announced Felicia Bochicchio as its new CEO. She was most recently the company’s president and previously chief revenue officer.
Bochicchio succeeds co-founder Rick Perreault who will become executive chair of the board. After being diagnosed with cancer, Perreault took a leave of absence from his role as CEO last year. With his cancer in remission, Perreault will take on an advisory role and continue to focus on his health.
Prior to joining Unbounce in 2018, Bochicchio was VP of sales at startups Social Nature and Bench Accounting. She spent more than a decade in sales, customer service and strategy roles at event management platform Active Network.
Founded in 2009, Unbounce raised a seed round in 2011 with Seattle’s Founders’ Co-op among the investors. The company raised approximately $38 million last year in a round led by private equity firm Crest Rock Partners.
In addition to landing pages, the company now offers additional marketing, lead generation and conversion tools for small and medium-sized businesses.
— Flying Fish Managing Partner Heather Redman joined the board of PPL Corporation, an energy company based in Allentown, Pa. The former Getty Images general counsel was previously an executive at Summit Power Group, a Seattle-based energy company.
— Restaurant tech startup Perfect Company announced Jim Collins as president, working with co-founders Mike Wallace and Miriam Kim. Vancouver, Wash.-based Perfect Company’s platform offers software, services and a smart scale to make food production more consistent in both commercial and home cooking.
Based in Glendale, Calif., Collins is a restaurant owner and former CEO of Kitchen United, a “ghost kitchen” company that provides food production facilities for delivery-only restaurants.
— Pradeep Nair is now VP of engineering for VMware’s multi-cloud platform. He was most recently a vice president at Microsoft Azure and spent 10 years at the Redmond tech giant.
The 2-year old company recently closed a $15 million Series A funding round led by Insight Partners. BlueOcean currently has 46 employees, with 21 employees based in the Seattle area.
— Former Brown Paper Tickets executive Steve Sack is now a digital strategy director at Kingston Marketing Group. He was most recently a senior manager at Seattle PR firm Action Mary.
Sack previously held marketing roles at Seattle University, Classmates.com and consulting firm Logic20/20. He is a faculty member at the University of Washington.
— The API Ratings Agency, a new advisory board dedicated to creating industry-wide API monitoring standards, announced its founding board:
- David O’Neill, CEO of Seattle-based APImetrics.
- Don Thibeau, former executive director of the OpenID Foundation.
- John Musser, an API consultant currently leading data and analytics for Ford’s autonomous vehicles group.
- Lorinda Brandon, VP of engineering at BetterCloud and board member of the Open API Initiative.
- Brian Costello, member of the Global Open Finance Centre of Excellence.
“The API economy is growing up. Standards need to grow with it,” said O’Neill.
His company, APImetrics, provides analytics and reports for its customers APIs and microservices. The new group will announce an operating charter, agency goals and additional board members before the end of the year.
— Engineering and infrastructure design firm HNTB announced Henry Hu as associate vice president and water resources manager. Hu is a hydrologic and hydraulic engineer and based in Bellevue, Wash.
